January 31. {project 365}

Coffee. Besides the photo a day, I am also doing a personal project called Develop on Fridays. The first assignment was to photograph something, the same thing, at least 75 shots. The point was to try to exhaust yourself of ideas to really push creativity. I really liked the mood and light of this one. I had a few others that I really liked but this one is my fave. This ended up being about shot 65... so I guess they are right!

Watercolor drops... or so I attempted. I didn't end up liking any of the drop photos but I got this bubble mess on accident and liked it. I like the light inside the drops... it reminds me of christmas lights.

My kids are obsessed with mustaches for some reason. My oldest, Berlin, was very excited by finding TWO pink crayons of the exact same shade and called me away from cooking dinner to witness her new pink mustache.

My youngest daughter, Isadora, is now 5 months old. She has been teething and very needy the past week. I had a horrible night sleep and my day seemed to have crying and whining at every turn. Bound to happen when you have 3 kids. Feeling exhausted, when taking photos, I got this one and thought it was representative of my day.

Daddy's Girl. My husband is such a wonderful husband and father. I don't think I could ask for better. Here he is helping my daughter Berlin make necklaces. This one he is putting together says 'Daddy's Girl'. Sweetness of life right here.

Thank You Anthropologie for being such a great store. I got this necklace in the mail the other day from them and it made me a little excited that my birthday is approaching.

Meat: Happy or Sad? My sister-in-law, Kate, came over this week and we took a quick trip to Trader Joe's. She bought some uncured turkey hot dogs and gave them to the kids to try out. When cutting them up, they seemed really sponge-like compared to ball park. The kids liked them though. Kate put this one in the microwave for a little too long and it blew up really odd looking...so I just had to take a picture.

I chose this picture because of the way I've been feeling toward meat lately. I've read some really disgusting reports about E-Coli in meat. As well as this article in the NY Times. So I'm not too sure how I feel about consuming meat lately.

Craving summer foods in this icky cold. I decided to buy a pineapple. This is my ode to summer.
